VIDOVDAN ASSEMBLY

Since the remains of Saint Prince Lazar were moved to Vrdnik-Ravanica monastery in 1697, Vrdnik has celebrated Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day) as Slava (Patron saint feast day) of St. Vitus and as a memorial day to Saint Prince Lazar.

Vidovdan assembly is held on June 28th and it’s dedicated to cherishing the tradition and folk customs and beliefs, as well as to promoting culinary art, folk costumes, handcraft, souvenirs, antiques and local domestic products.
